Wax FAQs

Post-Wax Don’ts:

• Avoid heat (saunas, sun) & wear SPF.

• No friction or working out for 24 hours.

• Wear loose clothing.

• Don’t exfoliate for 48 hours.

• Don’t touch the waxed area or apply harsh/fragranced products.

• Follow at-home care instructions and product recommendations.

How to Prep:

• Don’t shave, tweeze, or trim for 2 weeks before your appointment.

• Exfoliate & moisturize regularly.

Waxing Frequency:

• Best to wait 3-4 weeks between waxes.

Can I Shave in Between?

• No shaving! It disrupts the waxing process.

Does It Hurt?

• Yes, but we’re pros! With regular waxing, hair grows finer and the process gets less painful.

Brow Preferences:

• We specialize in Brow Rehab! We’ll keep your brows natural and full & work with you to try to grow in sparse areas. No shaping without a consultation.

Can I book a solo Wax Appointment if it’s not a bikini wax?

• We no longer accept solo wax appointments (outside of our featured Bikini wax or Brow wax experiences). You can add on other areas to your featured wax, facial, head spa experience or vaginal steam.

Acne Meds/Retinol Use:

• Check with your doctor. Discontinue Retinols/Retin-A at least 1 week before waxing. Accutane users must stop for 6 months. Discontinue other chemical exfoliants 72hr. before your wax.

Waxing on Your Period:

• Yes, with a fresh tampon or menstrual cup. You’ll be more sensitive, so waxing before your period is ideal.

Waxing While Pregnant:

• Yes! Just let us know so we can make you comfortable and avoid chemical exfoliants.

Skin Conditions:

• Ask your doctor. Let us know your skincare challenges, and we’ll support your skin health. We will not wax over inflammed or sunburn skin. We cannot wax areas with active breakouts, blisters or cold sores.

Ingrowns and Hyperpigmentation:

• We’re Fur products-certified and will provide you with a Fur-prescription for at-home care.

What’s a Deep Bikini?

• A deeper version of a bikini wax. You can decide your preference during your appointment.

What Kind of Wax Do You Use?

• We use a luxury strip-less hard wax for sensitive areas and facial waxing. It’s gentle and flexible. For some areas (primarily legs), we use a chocolate soft wax. We maintain strict cleanliness, disinfecting between each guest with hospital-grade disinfectants.
